Fuel Cube Stationary Tank Ship To Australia

May 30, 2025

Preventing Gasoline Storage Tank from settling requires a series of measures from the aspects of site selection, foundation design and construction, tank installation and post-maintenance, as follows:
1. Reasonable site selection
Select areas with stable geological conditions to set up storage tanks. Avoid construction in poor geological areas such as soft soil, fill, collapsible loess or geological fault zones. Before site selection, a detailed geological survey is required to obtain the physical and mechanical properties of the soil, such as bearing capacity, compressibility, etc., to provide a basis for subsequent design.
2. Optimize foundation design and construction
Choose foundation type: According to geological conditions and tank size, select a suitable foundation type, such as reinforced concrete raft foundation, pile foundation, etc. For sites with poor geological conditions, pile foundations can transfer tank loads to deep solid soil layers, effectively reducing settlement.
Foundation construction: Carry out foundation construction in strict accordance with design requirements. Ensure the quality of concrete pouring and the strength and density of the foundation. During the foundation construction process, it is necessary to control the construction process, such as vibration method, pouring sequence, etc., to prevent quality defects such as honeycombs and pockmarks.
3. Correct installation of the tank
Tank placement: When installing the tank, ensure that the tank is placed stably to avoid settlement caused by uneven local force due to the tilt of the tank. Use tools such as a level to perform precise measurements to ensure that the level of the tank meets the requirements.
Connection component installation: The installation of the tank and the connecting components such as pipes and brackets should be reasonable to avoid additional tension or pressure on the tank due to improper connection, which will affect the stability of the tank.
4. Strengthen post-maintenance
Regular monitoring: Set up settlement observation points and conduct settlement observations on the storage tank regularly. By measuring the elevation changes of the observation points, abnormal settlement can be discovered in time. Once it is found that the settlement exceeds the allowable range, measures should be taken immediately to deal with it.
Prevent changes in the surrounding environment: Avoid large-scale earth excavation, heap loading and other activities around the storage tank to prevent the tank foundation from being affected by changes in surrounding geological conditions. At the same time, drainage work around the tank should be done well to prevent accumulated water from soaking the foundation and reducing the bearing capacity of the foundation.
